Dried Papaya

Along with the delicious flavor, there are many health benefits related to the papaya and it is said to have healing properties.

Papaya fruit is and excellent source of dietary fiber, folate, vitamin A, C and E. It also contains small amount of calcium, iron, riboflavin, thiamine and niacine. It is also very rich in antioxidant nutrients flavonoids and carotenes, very high in vitamin C plus A, and low in calories and sodium.

Papaya is a fruit that is delicious eaten freshly picked but you can also enjoy dried papaya for a different consistency. Try it in trail mix, sprinkled on salad or cereal or even as a tropical addition to baked goods.
